So obviously, I would be even more concerned in the passenger cabin. At least, in the copilot's seat, she might be able to do something.

You simply can't get good info about the safety of most charter outfits. I think it's unfair, ureasonable, and controlling to expect your husband to base his personal/professional choices on your fear. I don't know the plane, the pilot, etc., and have had very bad experiences (but also very good ones) flying private. Now my husband has been asked to go on a day trip this Friday via private plane, and I've asked him not to go. I feel so guilty -- like I'm this crazy controlling wife. A King Air crashed 2 weeks ago killing all 10 people abord just after take off from the Moab, Utah ariport on a perfectly sunny day. A Cessna crashed a week before that in the mountains of Colorado, killing an entire family. If commercial airliners expereinced the same fatality rates as private NO ONE would fly anywhere.

Am I being unreasonable? How could I live with myself if something awful happend to him; but how can I fairly interfere with his work?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
