Good video, too.

Yeah, I must admit to feeling essentially the same way.

I don't want to minimize the problems that sometimes accompany flying. But, I think, in too many cases, people are spring-loaded to focus on the bad. They read incessant press reports of how flying is "just unbearable, a big hassle, intolerable, torture, blah, blah, yadda yadda, yadda." So, this is what they're looking for.

Never mind that most flights arrive on-time or early. (When I was still active at AA, far more of my flights arrived early than late.)

Never mind that when flights are delayed, it's generally for weather. (Do people REALLY want to fly into thunderstorms? If they do, they're suicidal. Or land on runways that have not been cleared of snow? I just received a link to a You Tube video from comic Louis CK doing a routine about people who complain rather than appreciating the amazing technological advances we enjoy. Midway through the routine, he talks about flying and how the relatively minor inconveniences often detract from the incredible convenience of getting across the continent in 5 hours.
