Yep, I totally agree OneAnt.

To me, one of the great ironies of all of this is that if the media treated every car crash in our country like they have the Air France episode ... with all of the gory details and all of the groundless speculation ... I bet you that we would be a society of walkers and bicyclists. Few if any would dare to drive a car because we'd all be so terrified. In fact, speaking of banning modes of transportation ... automobiles would probably be banned forever!

Check out the results of the CNN poll just now.

I guarantee that these numbers have gone up over the past month. Give it a few months with nothing air-travel related to report, and the numbers will shrink.

Has anyone else checked out the latest on fonxews.com about the Air France crash last month? I love their choice of words --"drop out of the sky". I know that they were reporting on news, but they are creating a false impression that completely denies the laws of physics--moving aircraft don't all of a sudden "drop out of the sky". It's a wonder we haven't banned airplanes all together with the fearmongering.
