When i see someone else who is going through the same thing as me, it makes me realize that i'm not alone. And it helps too, just to write down your fear, and you can look at it, and see how absurd it actually looks when down on paper! (it helps believe me). I'm making the biggest trip of my life in a week, flying from Boston to LA to New Zealand, a flight within NZ and then to Australia and back home again. And it's not out of the ordinary that i would be hyperventilating about a flight even to New York at this time. But reading these sites, and you guys answering my nervous questions about Qantas (i feel much better, though still admitidedly a little timid), I feel like I can do it! That and i'm reading up a little on quelling anxiety.
But i just wanted to give a shout out to everyone on here, who's helped me through these blech moments, whether you realize it or not. I won't lie, the night before my flight (leaving out of here on the morning of the 15th on American the night of the 15th to Auckland, if someone wants to track my flights! (i'd appreciate it =) ) i'll probably be breathing through a paper bag, and doing an awful lot of pacing back and forth, but right now i'm ok, and that's a BIG step.
Wish me a safe trip, and the same to all of you!
