So, my flight to Seattle is Thursday morning and although I am a bit nervous about the rain in the area causing turbulence on the take-off, I am more afraid of how I woke up this morning.
I took 2 Tylenol PM last night so I could fall asleep quicker. I have been tossing & turning; I really needed some sleep.
Well, I slept all right. I woke up smiling and I could remember thinking, "I can't wait to get on the plane, it's going to be so much fun." And, then I was thinking, "Why am I afraid, I'm always the first to volunteer to do other 'daring things'.
For example: I've been parasailing, jetskiing.. I was a passenger in a car that had driven 2 hours along a narrow lane around a mountain in Maui! I've white water rafted and kayaked (mind you, it was Class 1 - but keep in mind I can't swim well at all).. and I dived off a cliff (a low cliff but I had a life jacket on).
My mom got me a trapeze lesson for my birthday and I can't wait to book it!
I took surfing lessons and I remember spending the first 20 minutes, petrified I was going to be swept away by the current. I wasn't. And, once I stopped being frightened, it was awesome.
Just some thoughts I wanted to share
